CARL WEATHERS 1948-2024

Actor/athlete Carl Weathers died on February 1, 2024.  He grew up in New Orleans and attended St. Aug for several years but graduated from Long Beach Poly High School in California in 1966.  St. Aug's Administration issued this  statement:

"The Purple Knight nation mourns the loss of Carl Weathers.  He was a student at St. Augustine from 1962-1965 participating in the Glee Club and football.  We enjoyed witnessing his success over the last six decades as a former NFL linebacker and a movie star."
