Walter Joseph Nicholas III

At St. Aug his classmates knew him as "Pete", a quiet studious guy who went to Tulane after graduation.  After attending Tulane, Walter relocated to Washington D.C. where he earned his MBA at George Washington University.  He became a federal employee for 45 years working as a U-S intelligence analyst.  He retired in 2019 and was awarded the National Intelligence Superior Service Medal.  He was regarded as a smart, reserved guy who never revealed how much he contributed at both the local and national levels.  His colleagues say he was a humble and dedicated public servant and a mentor to many.

Walter was married to Annie Deloris Nicholas, and they have two children Paul and Morgan.

Another Purple Knight will now rest in peace.
